The bachelor thesis deals with roughing milling. Beginning of this thesis is concerned with common description milling and example work surface. Next part refers about necessary information for selection of roughing milling tool and its toolholder. Next chapter deals with basic information about CNC milling machines. Last part is devoted selection of concrete configuration machine, tool and its toolholder for roughing milling of plane and form surface with CNC machines.
Strength analysis of cutting tools

This work is focused on the stress-strain analysis of a cutting tool. At the beginning, the study of available literature and scientific articles relating the topic is carried out. The solution of stresses and strains in whole real system has been carried out based on the computational simulation using the finite element method (FEM). The work contains a detailed description of the creation of the computational model. Model of geometry of the system has been created in the SolidWorks program. Computational simulation including the solution was implemented in the ANSYS Workbench program as well as in the classical environment of ANSYS 12.0. This work includes the presentation of results and subsequent stress-strain analysis of the cutting tool. Last part of this work deals with the modal analysis and harmonic analysis of cutting tools made in classical environment of ANSYS program.
Design of a small universal grinder for sharpening tools

This thesis deals with the design of a small universal grinder for tool sharpening. The thesis begins with an introduction to the issue of tool sharpening, drilling, milling, and turning. Further, a market research and analysis of user needs is conducted. Based on these findings, several different variants of devices and methods for grinding are proposed, from which one is selected. Based on the selected variant, a 3D model and drawing documentation of selected nodes are developed. The functionality of the design is verified by basic calculations.
